Two mums. One simple idea.
LUMI Move began the way many good ideas do: with two mums, a shared frustration and a lot of conversations over coffee.
We kept buying children's shoes that looked lovely in the shop, only to realise that what looked good didn't always feel right for little feet.
The more we looked into it, the more we became interested in a different way of thinking about children's footwear, one that gives growing feet more room, flexibility and freedom to move naturally.
What we were looking for
We weren't trying to create another cute shoe brand.
We wanted shoes our own daughters would be excited to wear, but that also felt thoughtful from a parent's point of view.
Shoes made for real life: playgrounds, scooters, parties, holidays, messy days and everything in between.
So we started from the foot
Every LUMI Move shoe is designed around a few simple principles:
Wide toe boxes that give little toes room to spread.
Zero drop soles that keep heel and toes level.
Flexible construction that moves naturally with every little step.
Then we add the fun, colour, sparkle and playful details that make kids want to put them on.
Why LUMI?
The name LUMI comes from the first two letters of our daughters' names.
We also loved that lumi means light. A simple idea that felt right for a brand made for little movers stepping out into the world.
